Green Dome

The Green Dome rests over the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , Abu Bakr RA and Umar RA. First, it was made of wood and colorless, then painted white, then blue. It was painted green in 1837!

Sacred Chamber

The Prophet ﷺ lived beside the mosque, and after he passed away, he was buried in this chamber. Today, it is one of the most beloved places in the world for Muslims.

Mimbar Nabawi

At first, the mosque didn’t have a mimbar. When the Prophet ﷺ got tired while giving sermons, people made a simple one for him — just a tree trunk to lean on.
